the Challenge

Limited land is one of the root problems causing rampant illegal parking that occurs in the surrounding area of Hotel Indonesia Roundabout (Plaza Indonesia and Bundaran HI) where the economic activity is quite large, resulting in the high demand for parking, especially by two-wheeled riders. Existing conditions at the location:

• No parking space inside the Plaza Indonesia Mall
• There is already an existing parking lot on the side of the road
• On-street illegal parking (double parked or driving lane parked)
• No security
• Social adversity in which informal parking attendants are seen collecting fees    illegally

The Solution

We install hardware and software solutions called CMS (Compact Motorcycle Storage) with fully integrated OS technology that functions to:

• Increase the capacity (from empty land to 3 CMS modules)
• Control revenue
• Provide real-time dashboard
• Allow cashless payment
• Monitor area live (built-in CCTV)
• Have a membership feature
• Give paperless & touchless experience

The Result

With CMS, we managed to improve the capacity of motorcycle parking lot in the existing area by providing a huge impact in particular for users. Very significant change happening from previously empty land with + 90 motorcycles to now + 720 motorcycles ( 3 CMS modules ) Also, increases land owner’s net income by approximately 2.5x when compared with traditional parking.
