Responsibilities:
- Coordinates training programs with the VP of Finance & Accounting for new staff
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation
- Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
- Oversees/supervises by managing team members, delegating duties, and overseeing day-to-day operations as well as various accounting and tax operations
- Identify legal tax savings, mitigate tax risk, and recommend ways to improve profits
- Monitor, analyze, and evaluate developments related to local tax legislation and legal obligations, including changes in tax practices, policies, procedures or changes in business operations
- Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax law
- Assist in financial audits and general ledger preparation
- Develop monthly financial statements that include cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets
- Complete end-of-month close procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related (must have)
- 9+ years of working experience in accounting work experience (must have)
- Have at least 5 years of experience in Auditing
- Sound understanding of accounting, tax, and financial reporting principles and practices
- Solid knowledge of regulations and guidelines and drive forward best practices as well as being proactive in implementing changes (as appropriate)
- Effective planning and problem-solving skills and issue-resolution capabilities
- Demonstrate leadership qualities: manage team, delegate responsibilities effectively, build a positive and productive department culture, mentor team members
- Sense of ownership and pride in personal and team performance and its impact on the company’s success
- Proficient in English
